FAQs

What are the operating hours?

To keep our neighbors happy and in compliance with required county guidelines with our special use permit, we are closed everyday from 11:00-1:00. Not to worry, we have kennel attendants on site 7-days per week before and after hours. We operate in the morning from 7:30am-11:00am and in the afternoon from 1:00pm to 6:00pm Monday-Friday; and 9:00am-11:00am / 1:00pm - 4:00pm on Saturdays; and we are CLOSED to the public on Sundays.

What if I’m running late?

We allow for after hours pick-up no more than 30 minutes past closing, with proper notice at no extra charge. We know delays occur when traveling so please keep the lines of communication open and we will do our best to accommodate you! It will be especially helpful if you notify us via phone at least 15-30 minutes prior to our closing for lunch at 11:00am or the end of the day at 6:00pm.

Can someone else pick up my dog?

If someone other than the approved contacts listed in our system needs to pick up your pup, please let us know (either when you drop off or via email) the first and last name of the person picking up. Let the person picking up your dog know that they will need to bring their ID with them. We will not release a dog to an unauthorized contact. Please note, payment is also due upon pick up and you are welcome to pay ahead.

Additional Questions

My dogs are so excited to come in, I sometimes have a hard time gathering all of their things and them too- is there someone that can help me?

We know juggling your pets and all of their belongings can be a handful. Our staff are happy to help you bring things to/from your car. Please just ask.

What If I Have to cancel my reservation?

It's easy- just send an email explaining you need to cancel or give us a call. There are no cancellation fees, but notice is appreciated.

What does the suite come with?

Each kennel comes with comfortable raised Koranda beds, providing maximum comfort and support for your pet. The cot-style design helps to evenly distribute weight, relieving pressure for dogs’ joints, and no sore hips, elbows or shoulders from the pressure of the hard ground. Cats have individual suites with scratching posts, litter box, and room to explore.

Food and water bowls are standard and match the size of your dog. Special eating behavioral bowls are permitted and we have them available if needed.

A favorite toy or “lovey” is permitted to help your dog feel like they are at home. We are happy to accommodate your pets' needs to help them feel safe and cozy. All toys must not be smaller than a golf ball or present as a choking hazard. We also have special treats and time with our staff that you can add on to make your dogs stay special for them. Check out our A La Carte Menu.

Can I bring my pet's bed?

Guests are welcome to bring bedding from home, as long as it can comfortably fit in their suite and is easy to clean/sanitize. We encourage you to bring a blanket rather than a “foam style” bed. This way your pets can still experience familiar smells from home without the worry of damage to their bedding- our dogs/cats play hard, sometimes get dirty, knock their water bowl over, and the washing machine isn’t always nice to foam beds; blankets are much easier to clean and come home intact.

Do You provide food?

We ask you to bring the food your dog normally eats to keep their diet as consistent as possible. Changing food, even for a short period of time, can disrupt digestion and lead to tummy issues. Please bring dry food separated into individually bagged meals for the entirety of your pet’s stay.

Of course if you run out of food, we provide our house food at no charge. For our dogs, we use Retriever All Life Stages Mini Chunk Chicken Recipe Dry Dog Food, which has been carefully selected to meet the nutritional needs of our active dogs. This dry formula recipe offers a high-quality source of protein that aids the body to heal tissue, grow hair and maintain a smooth skin and coat. In addition, Retrievers' commitment to sourcing high quality meats and best local produce means our dogs will receive high quality food during their stay. In fact, this is what many of our staff feed their dogs at home. For our cats we use Purina ONE which is suitable for different life stages, and includes a SmartBlend® of high-protein nutrition to meet the unique needs of indoor cats.

If your pet is known to have allergies or a sensitive stomach, please let us know so we can ensure their needs are met. While we do not carry wet dog food, we do have a refrigerator for foods that require it.

Please note: special diets (anything outside of regular dry and wet food) are $2 per meal throughout their stay.

Can you administer medications?

Yes. We can apply ointments/powders, eye/ear drops, and give pills. We do not administer injections. Upon arrival we need to record all medications, how often and when they need to be administered on their feeding sheet. If you don’t have a pill box, we provide one to ensure medication is properly administered.

Administration of medication is $1.50 per dose.

How often does my dog go outside?

All dogs go outside at least 4 times daily for about 15-20 minutes at a time at approximately 8 AM, 11 AM, 2 PM and 6 PM. If you desire for your dog to play all day we have a Boarding Day Camp service for $20 extra per day!

What Vaccinations Are Required?

Bordetella, Distemper/Parvo and Rabies are required for boarding, playing in daycare and/or grooming for dogs.

Rabies, Distemper and a negative Feline Leukemia test result are required to board cats.

What is the spay / neuter policy?

We accept non-neutered and non-spayed dogs for boarding as long as the females are not in heat. In order to play with other dogs, all dogs over 6 months of age must be neutered and spayed.

Will my dog need a bath?

We recommend a bath for your dog before they go home. Remember they will be playing outside, inside, and very often. See check-in sheet for grooming fees.

A bath is required for guests staying 7 nights or longer.
